Frequently Asked Questions

Check-in time?
Check-in time is after 3 p.m. As the City Club Hotel operates at a very high occupancy level, we cannot guarantee an early check-in. Please let us know your arrival time and we will do our best to have your room available. We do offer a guaranteed early check-in for select room categories for an additional fee. Please email sales@cityclubhotel.com to inquire if early check-in is available for your room category on your arrival date.

Check-out time?
Our check-out time is before 12 p.m. We can extend a limited number of courtesy late check-outs up to 12:30 p.m. The City Club Hotel will offer a late check-out after 12:30 p.m. for $25 per half hour up to 2:30 p.m. After 2:30 p.m., you will be charged a half-day rate up to 5 p.m. After 5 p.m., you will be charged a full-day rate for an additional evening.

Where can I park? How much will it cost?
Although the City Club Hotel does not have on-site parking, we have established relationships with a number of parking facilities in the immediate area we can assist with. We encourage our guests to arrive at the hotel and unload their belongings in our loading zone directly in front of the hotel. Our Guest Service Agents will assist with directing you to area parking (from $40 per day*) or you may choose the convenience of valet parking (from $55 per day*). Regardless of where you park, oversized vehicles may incur additional daily fees.

What identification is required at check-in?
The City Club Hotel requires a government issued ID that matches the name of the reservation to check-in. Guests will not be allowed to check-in if they do not have a valid credit card matching the photo identification.

Do I need a credit card to check-in?
Yes. An incidental deposit of $100.00 per evening, with a maximum of $200.00 for the duration of the stay plus room and tax is required at check-in.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and Diners Club cards.

Can a third party pay for my reservation?
Yes, a third party can arrange to pay for a guest's hotel charges, but the third party will need to fax a City Club Hotel Credit Card Authorization Form to the hotel in advance in order to do so. Once they have faxed this form and arranged for payment, they do not have to accompany the guest when checking in or checking out.

Is there a minimum age requirement to check into the hotel?
Guests must be 21 years old or older to check in or accompanied by an adult.

Can I leave my luggage?
Yes, we can look after your luggage. If at check in your room is not ready yet or in case of early check out after .We will store your luggage free of charge on your check-in and check-out days.

Internet connection?
A wireless internet connection is available throughout the hotel and is included in the facilities fee portion of your room rate.

Is there a fitness center?
Although the City Club Hotel does not have an on-site fitness center, we have an established relationship with the New York Sports Club at Grand Central. Passes to the NYSC facility at Grand Central are included in the facilities fee portion of your room rate. Please visit the Front Desk who will provide your passes as well as directions to the facility.

Which are the nearest airports?
The nearest airports are LaGuardia (LGA - 9.2 miles), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK - 15.5 miles), and Newark (NJ) Liberty International Airport ( EWR - 16.6 miles).

Which are the nearest train stations?
The nearest railway stations are New York Penn Station (0.8 miles) and Grand Central Terminal (0.3 miles).

How can I reach City Club Hotel from the airports?
The City Club Hotel recommends arranging a private car service or simply taking a yellow taxi to get to the hotel from the airports. Additional alternatives such as an MTA bus, subway, or NJ Transit may be options as well.

Do you have a restaurant?
Yes, the City Club Hotel features db Bistro Moderne from award-winning celebrity Chef Daniel Boulud featuring a dining room as well as a bar area.

Is breakfast included in the price?
Breakfast is not included in the room price. An a la carte or continental breakfast may be purchased in our restaurant db Bistro Moderne. Room service breakfast is also available. 

Is room service available? If so, at what times?
Room service is available from db Bistro Moderne during restaurant hours. The City Club Hotel also offers a 24-hour room service menu.

Do you have smoking and non-smoking rooms?
Yes. The City Club Hotel is a completely non-smoking property with the exception of a limited number of guest rooms on a designated floor.

Do you have rooms that have services for those with disabilities?
Yes, we have a limited number of ADA compliant rooms that accommodate those with disabilities.

Do the bathrooms have baths or showers?
A majority of the rooms at the City Club Hotel have showers. We do have a limited number of rooms that do have a bathtub. Please make requests for bathtubs at the time of your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate.

Are pets allowed to stay at the hotel?
Yes, pets are most welcome. Our Guest Service Agents will have you read and agree to our Pet Waiver. An additional credit authorization is required when staying with a pet.

What should I do if I lost or forgot something in my room?
Please contact our Front Office Manager Alfredo Phillips at aphillips@cityclubhotel.com. Our rooms are cleaned daily, so that your item may have been found by our housekeeping team. If the item is found, we will then advise you on the ways we are able to return the item to you.

Can I make a group reservation?
The City Club Hotel takes group reservations and offers special pricing. To personally reserve more than 4 rooms for your group, contact our Groups Coordinator at (212) 391-0223, or send your inquiry to sales@cityclubhotel.com. A seasoned member of our sales team will promptly get back to you to help fill your request for group accommodations.

Can I send a package to the hotel?
City Club Hotel will accept or hold packages/boxes for reserved guests of the hotel only. Boxes should arrive no earlier than 10 days prior to the guest’s arrival. Address the package to the name of the guest that the reservation was made under. There is a $5 fee per package per day and there is a limit of 5 packages that can be held per reservation.

Do you have an on-site laundry service?
We do not have a self-service laundry facility on site. However, we do offer dry cleaning. To arrange for dry cleaning, drop your garments off at the Front Desk before 9 AM for same day service.
